I started using
the Bentonite Clay formula in February 2006. It was recommended that I use 1 oz a day to
assist my body in removing heavy metals. My blood tests from 2003 showed that I had high
levels of a few different metals. It appears that weve all been exposed to certain
metals either environmentally, like paint, or internally by ingesting foods, like fish,
which have been shown to have large amounts of mercury in them. I was told that there
could be many types of metals in my system, any of which could affect various systems of
my body. I decided to try the clay for the purpose of removing these metals. I decided to
have my blood drawn prior to starting the clay to see where my levels were.
As you know, I am
a competitive bodybuilder and in the past when Id been on a strict bodybuilding
Eating Plan my Cholesterol results would often be negatively affected. Once I changed the
way I was eating and was less strict, my cholesterol would level out after a few months. I
was not planning to be off my current program for another 6 weeks so figured my
cholesterol levels would be off. When my results came back, I was shocked to see that my
cholesterol level was 253, my HDL 21 and my LDL 150. To date, these were some of the worst
results I had seen.
The first time I
prepared the clay for use by reconstituting it, I had a very distinctive response. Within
seconds of the first sip of clay, I urgently needed to use the restroom. Now its pretty
well known that most people choose not to talk about their bowel habits, but since I know
how critical it is to our state of health or illness, I talk about it as needed. My
intestinal tract urgently needed to evacuate itself. At first I thought it was
coincidental, but when it happened each and every time I began sipping on the clay, I
could only make one determination: my body was evacuating something I didnt need,
whether it was heavy metals, or something else, I couldnt say, I just knew I
couldnt hold anything in. This unusual side effect happened about 14 times in 7
days, but that was just the beginning of the effects.
The second
response was even more peculiar. I began passing olive colored oil with every stool I had,
and I dont mean a few drops. It appeared to be as much as ½ cup! At first, I
couldnt believe it and didnt mention it. When it kept happening, day after
day, I thought it wise to inform my doctor. A similar thing happened to me about 2 years
ago and it happened to one of my clients. We were both using Fish Oils of a high
pharmaceutical grade. I thought it odd at the time, but as soon as I stopped taking the
fish oils, the oily discharge stopped. At this particular time, I was not taking any Fish
Oils, so I was at even more of a loss.
The doctor said
that it could be anything, but didnt exactly know how to proceed. He was open to my
recommendations and suggestions, a large part of why I was seeing him, so I asked him
re-order my cholesterol tests, because I was convinced it was cholesterol. He agreed and I
took the test. Lo and Behold, here are the results that came back, just weeks after using the clay. My cholesterol
level had fallen to 152, the HDL had gone up to 30 and my LDL had dropped to 110! All of
the changes were significant and my doctor was totally supportive and surprised how much
the levels changed. During that time, everything else remained the same. Meaning I was not
doing anything differently except that I was taking the clay twice a day.
I am now using 1
to 2 oz of clay daily to keep my system healthy. My body lives in a more alkaline state
allowing me to feel my best and keeping illness away. I have not been ill once since I
started using the clay regularly this past June 2007. My skin is clearer, my teeth whiter,
my breath fresh and my bowel movements regular, moist and non-constipated, which for me is
nothing short of a miracle, having been constipated my whole life.
Having said that,
I recommend that my clients do their own evaluations of any medical conditions from which
they suffer and document their results as means of helping others. As always, I send you
my best
To Great Health
